The Grand Rapids community offers a wide variety of housing options, most located within a few minutes’ drive of the Secchia Center. Please be aware that this list is provided to the entering class for convenience only, and in no way represents endorsement of any business, company, or individual by the College of Human Medicine.
All students should expect to relocate at the end of Year II to one of the clinical campuses, except in cases of documented hardships. Students are strongly advised not to purchase a home or expect to otherwise “settle” in the local area.
- Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners (GRMEP) has a Move To Grand Rapids page for medical students, residents, and interns, along with information about the area. - The Fulton Group rents renovated homes and apartments to students at affordable rates. They rent to many MSU College of Human Medicine students.
- Heritage Hill Neighborhood Association maintains a list of rental properties available in this historic neighborhood, one of the closest to the Secchia Center.
- Craigslist has a large list of properties available for rent in the Grand Rapids area
Feel free to also search some of the available online housing search sites. As the second largest metro area in the state, there is an abundance of online listings.
